Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro now available in Taiwan


First unveiled earlier in May, the Xiaomi Mi 8 has only been available in China so far as the as the Xiaomi Mi 8UD, while it was billed to go global as the Mi 8 Pro. The Mi 8 Pro has now officially landed in Taiwan making it the first market where the device will retail outside of China

As for price, Xaiomi is offering the 8/128 GB device with a transparent back panel for NT$15,999, which translates into around $517, and is immediately available at some offline retailers as well as at the Mi online stores in the country. No word on pricing and availability for other countries yet, but we should update you as soon as they are available.

Flaunting a 6.21” OLED panel with UD fingerprint scanner, the Xiaomi Mi8 is powered by the SD 845 SoC coupled with 8GB of RAM, 128GB storage, 3,400mAh battery supporting Quick Charge 4.0+, a 20-megapixel selfie camera as well as a dual 12-megapixel rear camera.

The Mi 8 pro is arguably the most Premium device from Xiaomi, and that will remain so until the arrival of the Xiaomi Mix 3 which should go official in a few days time.
