China’s spying on servers: Tim Cook claims Bloomberg’s article is “a 100% lie”

Tim Cook insists: Bloomberg lies about the alleged espionage of Apple’s servers by China. Apple CEO reacted for the first time last week and he continues today in an interview with CNN.

“I want to be categorical about it: the part about Apple is a 100% lie. It’s completely inaccurate, there’s no truth behind that” says Apple’s boss. “We never found a malicious chip on our servers. We never reported anything like that to the FBI, the FBI never contacted us about any matter” adds Tim Cook.

Bloomberg’s article cited espionage by several US companies, including Apple and Amazon. Tim Cook rightly notes that Amazon also denied having spied on its servers. Cook continues and reiterates that Bloomberg must withdraw its article. “It does not do anyone any good to have false information published” says Tim Cook. He notes that cyber security is an “important, very important topic” and that we must do what is necessary to protect businesses and countries “and not chase a ghost” .
