Samsung’s brand ambassador faces $1.6 million lawsuit for publicly using iPhone

The latest piece of not so pleasant news to emanate from Korea says the company once again is going to court, and no, it is not having any issue with Apple, Huawei or any of its rival. The present court case involves Samsung and its hugely paid ambassador in Russia. The Korea tech giant is suing Russian television host, journalist and politician Ksenia Sobchak who incidentally is its Russian brand ambassador for an alleged bridge of contract.

While Ms. Sobchak has in the past appeared at social events in Moscow clutching the rival iOS devices, she is, however, facing the $1.6 million lawsuit for allegedly using an Apple iPhone X during a widely televised interview. Although she attempted using her fingers to hide the Apple logo and then using a piece of paper to hide it on the table but ran out of luck as she is now been sued up to the tone of 108 million rubles which amounts to $1.6 million USD.

It is worth noting that Ms. Sobchak isn’t the first, second and probably won’t be the last to be embroiled in such a mess, but she is definitely the first to be slammed with a lawsuit for breaching the terms of the contract. Adam Levine and even Ellen Degeneres who back in 2014 created the greatest selfie ever made for Samsung during the Oscars have both been involved in a similar mess.
