Vivo Y93 leaks, to be the first Snapdragon 439 powered smartphone


The Vivo Y93 leaked today thanks to a tipster on Twitter. The pair of images reveals the design of the handset, with the complete list of specifications following the leak.

The device in question will be the first-ever smartphone to ship with a Snapdragon 439 chipset. The SD439 is brand new entry chipset with eight Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.95GHz, Adreno 505 GPU and LTE Snapdragon X6 Modem.

The very same device appeared on TENAA in two distinct variants – V1818A and V1818T. The listing confirms the Vivo Y93 name, pricing and the release date of this new entry mid-range smartphone.

Vivo Y93 V1818A variant will hit China with a price tag of 1,498 Yuan ($215). The device will be available in Zixia Red, Starry Night Black Color variants. Along with the brand new chipset the smartphone will ship with 4GB of RAM an 64GB of internal storage. It is expected to come on November 15 and will feature a full-screen design with 6.2-inch HD+ 19:9 and a Waterdrop Notch.

On the camera department, the device will be packed with a 13MP main sensor and a secondary 2MP unit on the rear. The front-facing experience will be provided by an 8MP selfie snapper. Running the show there is a 3,935mAh battery optimized by Android 8.1 Oreo. The handset measures 155.11mm x 75.09mm x 8.28mm and weighs 163.5g.

Apparently, the device doesn’t feature a fingerprint scanner, and quickly unlock options should be mainly based on the facial recognition system.
