Asus is one of the largest manufacturers in the world and although the company has been improving its smartphone portfolio year after year, it’s not popular like mainstream devices. Despite this fact, the company released a great flagship earlier on this year in the form of ZenFone 5, and according to a new leak which reveals some early ZenFone 6 prototypes, Asus will come with full force on 2019.
Kicking off the prototypes, the company seems to be working in a full-screen device that is quite similar to one of Samsung’s ideas. Asus has placed a small hole in the top-left corner of the display to house the front-facing camera. This is accompanied by a very thin top and side bezels, with a more thicker bottom bezel. The smartphone boasts a vertical dual camera setup on the rear, and surprisingly, has a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The second model doesn’t bring surprises, after all, it looks like a revamped Zenfone 5 model. The larger notch of the former flagship has been turned into a waterdrop shaped notch, that looks weird since it is placed in the top-right side of the screen. Waterdrop notches are slowly becoming a new trend that is much more acceptable than the massive screen cutouts of before, but they look cool at the middle. This model also brings a vertical dual camera setup and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Completing the list there is a model that looks closer to the real deal but isn’t exciting like the other models. This particular model includes a standard waterdrop notch in the middle and a chin down below. The difference between this device and the current generation is that the ZenFone 6 will be packed with a triple-camera setup on the rear. Since the three devices are just prototypes there’s no guarantee that they will be released. Anyway, it’s cool to see that companies are looking forward to better ways of reducing the bezels and aren’t accommodated with the notch.
