Samsung could bring wireless charging options to non-flagship Galaxy smartphones, a new report from Korean media has revealed today. However, it is unclear when this would happen. As proof of the new report, a new wireless charger with model code as EP-P1100 appeared on Samsung’s official website carrying a price of €34.99 (i.e. Rs 3,000 ~). That can definitely be called ‘affordable’ compared to what Samsung us selling currently. Interestingly, the development comes after the Mi Mix 3 was announced along with a very affordable wireless charger that is bundled with the device itself.
Samsung wireless chargers to become more affordable
Gizchina News of the week
Currently Samsung is offering a fast wireless charging pad which comes at a cost of €59.99. Even the charger duo which was launched recently with the Galaxy Note 9 is priced at €99.99. This makes the new upcoming wireless charger to be the cheapest among all. Besides, the new charger is believed to be thinner and smaller compared to others and it supports a USB Type-C cable. Regardless, the charger is not available yet but it is anticipated to hit the market shortly.
As the launch of Samsung’s new wireless charger is on the edge, the question arises into most minds about this charger supporting future Samsung mid-range devices. The bigger question is about its fast charging feature. The logical assumption would be that it will support fast charging because this is exactly what makes Samsung stand apart from other mobile manufacturers. At the moment nothing is confirmed yet about its release and specs but is expected to come out soon in the near future.
