Huawei’s Mate 20 Pro is breaking records for European pre-orders

Huawei Mate 20 Pro

During the past few years, Huawei was considered just another Chinese company with generic smartphones. However, since the last year, things started to change. This year, however, the company finally took its crown among the biggest smartphone manufacturers with its own set of premium smartphones and the amazing Gradient finish. The company that has once imitated others, came to be the imitated.

Apparently, the company strategy is giving results. Less than a week after Huawei Mate 20 Pro shipments commenced, the Chinese company has announced that the smartphone has broken its pre-order record by 40% in Western Europe. The previous record has been broken by the Huawei P20 Pro, another 2018 smartphone, and curiously, the one that debuted the gradient finish.

Gizchina News of the week

The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is sold in a very high price point, so the new record can be explained by the fact that the Chinese company did some pre-order promotions to help the device to grow in popularity. In Western Europe, Huawei offered a free Huawei Watch GT for those placing a pre-order for the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. Other markets had a chance of receiving a free wireless charging with the smartphone and watch.

The company is yet to report its sales figures, but we expect to see the Huawei Mate 20 Pro sales surpassing both the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro. These latter devices took only three months to sell six million of units.
