This Week on GizChina
OnePlus
OnePlus finally did it, they launched the much rumored OnePlus 6T this past week with basically zero surprises. The handset is indeed exactly as previously leaked, bringing a 6.41-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2340×1080 and 19.5:9 aspect ratio, a Snapdragon 845, 6GB or 8GB of RAM, up to 256GB of storage and a brand new under display fingerprint scanner. Lenovo & Honor
Lenovo and Honor unveiled their answer to Xiaomi’s Mi MIX 3 – the new Lenovo Z5 Pro and Honor Magic 2.
The first, Lenovo’s phone, packs a 6.39-inch Super AMOLED screen which has a screen ratio of up to 95.06%, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710AIE Turbo chip coupled with 6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage.
Meanwhile the Honor Magic 2 comes with a 6.39-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and powered by Huawei’s flagship Kirin 980 CPU paired with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of high speed internal storage.
Xiaomi
Very out of the ordinary week for Chinese company Xiaomi. They indeed did not release any major product in this period of time, aside from a smart electric heater and a new pair of wireless earphones for the younger people.
While on the software side, a couple hit the Pocophone F1.
Huawei
Gizchina News of the week
A week after the launch of the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro, Huawei’s latest series is still on everybody’s lips as the handset break records for European sales while they already get a first update.
Additionally, also hardware won’t be dismissed as the company confirms Mate 20 Pro with faulty displays will be replaced.
Vivo
New week, new Vivo phone on the shell. This time is the Vivo Y93, launched in China at the price of CNY1500, which is about $215/€190. You should take note of the price as this is the first Snapdragon 439 equipped phone and more are to follow.
Meanwhile, the more premium Vivo X21S with an under display fingerprint scanner is expected to launch very soon as real photos of the handset leak online.
Oppo
Vivo’s closest competitor – Oppo – is also not stepping back. The Chinese phone maker did indeed just release the Oppo R17 Neo over in Japan and a launch in Europe is probably around the corner.
Meanwhile on China’s ground, the company announced the Oppo K1, yet another device packing a 6.4-inch 2340×1080 pixels Super AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 660 CPU and an UD fingerprint scanner.
