iPad Pro 2018 crushed all smartphones and tablets on AnTuTu test

A couple of days ago, the test results for the iPad Pro 2018 has appeared on the network, which confirmed that the new tablet doubles the performance of its predecessor. But the potential power of the A12X chipset does not end there.

Now AnTuTu performance test has appeared, the updated iPad Pro has become an absolute record holder. The tablet became the first iOS-device, which in total scored more than 500 thousand points.

Among Android smartphones, Huawei is considered the closest competitor with the first 7nm Kirin 980 chipset on the Mate 20 Pro that scored about 300 thousand points.

Gizchina News of the week

The seven cores of Apple’s GPU will indeed be your best friends when it comes to mobile gaming, image or video editing and other graphics-intensive tasks.

Although performance is massively increasing, Apple promised power consumption wouldn’t be compromised. We sure hope so, given there is also a new NPU and over 10 billion transistors, compared with ‘just’ 6.9 billion in the iPhone A12 chip.

Another interesting point is that the performance of the iPad Pro 2018 is not affected by the amount of the installed memory. The folks from AnTuTu claim that there aren’t major differences in performance between the iPad Pro model with 1TB storage which has 6GB RAM, and the others that come with 4GB.

It seems to me antutu score is not based on performance only (which should be) but also on the capacity of ROM and amount of RAM which is wrong. Antutu score is not relevant anymore.
