Little known Chinese phone maker – Smartisan – are apparently not giving up on their 2018 flagship phone, the Smartisan Nut R1. The company did indeed just launch yet another version of the handset first unveiled back in May of this year, this time in a new Peacock Blue color variant.
Along with the new look, the Smartisan Nut R1 also got a little touch up in the price department, the smartphone is now cheaper in both the 6GB RAM / 128GB storage variant at 3299 Yuan ($470) and the 8GB RAM / 256GB storage model at 3799 Yuan, around $540.
The rest of the device does – of course – remain unchanged, boasting a 6.17-inch In-cell screen with a resolution of 2242×1080 and an aspect ratio of 18.7:9. It is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, LPDDR4X memory + UFS 2.1 flash memory, and a rear 12MP + 20MP camera setup, at the front we instead have a 24MP selfie snapper.

What changed a little is on the software side though, the force touch tech available on the phone is indeed now more useful with shortcuts that pop up when the screen if pressed harder. Probably a feature it should have come with straight out of the box.
