ZTE’s and Huawei’s issues with the US authorities notwithstanding, Chinse firms are still making headway in the US market. OnePlus received a rousing welcome in the said market over a week ago, and if the latest scoop from Reddit is to be believed, then Xiaomi might in the next few days make a bold step towards the US market.

A new Reddit post from one of Xiaomi’s executive suggests the Chinse firm has a launch event for December 8 in NewYork city. The Reddit post released by Xiaomi’s North American operation project manager – Aron Yang remains vague with no clue whatsoever on what the firm might unveil at the launch event. The post reads: “Experience our latest and greatest Xiaomi products”. The event which it described as its biggest party yet will afford selected users the chance to experience Xiaomi products and meet the team behind these products.
Officially, Xiaomi only currently offers a range of home products and accessories in the US and not a smartphone. However, that could be changing soon, given that firm isnt expected to make create such level of hype over the launch of ordinary home appliances in the US.
