The Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 was recently officially revealed and soon indicated that camera features would reach the Mi 8 and Mi Mix 2S at least. Well, today we have confirmation that one of the features begins to be available and that more smartphones are involved.
According to new reports, the “night scene” feature is currently rolling out to the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S, the Mi 8, the Mi 8 EE and the Mi 8 Pro in a closed beta MIUI 10 China Developer ROM, with version number MIUI 8.11.8.
Regarding “Night Mode” we can obviously realize that it is for night shots. The smartphone takes a number of photos and fits them to give us more pleasant pictures in a situation of low light.
Gizchina News of the week
This update is now rolling out to users in the Chinese closed beta. If you’re not a part of it, then you’ll have to wait until the update rolls out to the stable branch, which shouldn’t take long.
It is worth to mention that Xiaomi has announced its highly anticipated Mi MIX 3 with a sliding design and an excellent camera module. Xiaomi has focused especially on the quality of its camera, which has allowed it to obtain 103 points in the DxOmark classification.
With this score, the camera of the Mi MIX 3 exceeds the scores of Apple iPhone X, Huawei P20 and comes on the same level of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and HTC U 12+. This great improvement has been achieved by adjusting the camera modules to obtain better performance.
I’ve got the update this morning on Mix2s . I’ll test tonight in natural darkness.
What is the name of the mode, would that be “Night” ??
Yes, that’s the one, looks pretty good, I should do a side by side with my p20 pro.
