Apple announced a new iPhone X display module replacement program for touch issues on Saturday. Apple and its authorized service providers will replace the display module for free for eligible iPhone X devices. According to Apple, some components on the iPhone X display module may malfunction, so some iPhone X displays may have touch problems. Affected devices may exhibit the following symptoms:
- The display or part of the display does not respond or intermittently responds to touch operations
- Even if no touch operation is performed, the display reacts
This new program does not require users to check the iPhone X serial number, nor does it require when the affected device was sold. This means that as long as your iPhone X has the above symptoms, Apple will provide you with a component replacement service.

Apple recommends that users back up their iPhone to iTunes or iCloud before accepting the service. In addition, the company added that if there is any damage to the iPhone X that would affect the completion of the repair (such as a broken screen), you need to solve the problem before repairing. In some cases, additional repairs may be required.
Finally, this service does not extend the standard warranty coverage of the iPhone X, and its scope of service may be limited to the original country of purchase, for a period of three years from the date of the first retail sale. Apple also said that if your iPhone X was affected by this problem and you paid for the replacement of the display module, you can contact Apple for a refund.
