First Xiaomi Mi Store opens in London – Pocophone F1, Redmi Note 6 Pro, & more are available


Chinese manufacturing giant, Xiaomi, continues its expansion plans and after releasing the Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro, Xiaomi Mi 8, Mi 8 Lite, Redmi 6A, Xiaomi Mi Band 3 and Mi electric scooter in London last week. Now, the company has opened its maiden brick-and-mortar Mi Store in Westfield London. As a way to welcome its London customers, Xiaomi gave the first three in-store customers freebies while the first 300 customers received a special goody bag.

In addition to the Mi 8 series, Xiaomi has added hot smartphones like the Pocophone F1 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro to its lineup in the UK. These devices have been available via Amazon but now, you can walk into the store and pick one. The Xiaomi Pocophone F1 (6GB RAM + 64GB Storage) costs £329 (about $422) while the 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage version costs £349 (approximately $448).

Xiaomi also brought some of its Android One Phones to the UK store. It added the most recent Xiaomi Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite. Other phones like the Xiaomi Redmi 6, Redmi 6A, Redmi Note 5, and Redmi S2 are also available for purchase. This store does not only sell smartphones, the Xiaomi Mi Band 3 with multiple colour strap, Mi In-ear Headphones Pro 2, Mi Sports Bluetooth Earphones, and Mi Headphones Comfort are all available.

However, it appears that some of these smartphones are considerably cheaper when you ship from online stores outside the UK although you may be left to deal with customs and warranty issues if any. See some deals with free shipping below

    Xiaomi are already picking up the UK retailers ‘rip off Britain attitude’ owards it’s customers.. charging way more than importing the phones, even when taking VAT into account. Also where are the Mi Mix 3 and Mi Max? They’re the phones we really want to see.
