Only a few days after it stopped by the FCC in the US, a Motorola device with the same model number as that spotted on the FCC has now been spotted on ANATEL – the Brazillian version of the FCC with the model number G7 XT1965-2.
The alleged Moto G7 will feature a 2820 mAh battery, according to details listed on the Brazilian FCC equivalent. A 2820mAh battery would be a step down from the G6’s 3,000mAh battery, even though there might be a G7 Plus variant that could have more battery power than the G7. We are not sure why Motorola may have settled for a smaller battery size, just maybe it is considering reducing the screen size, or maybe it is considering stuffing the next generation of the G series with some sort of GPU tech that will aim to save more battery.
Gizchina News of the week
The Moto G7 will reportedly look like a copy of the G6 – featuring a virtually all screen front, with a water-drop notch and a thin bezel on the bottom. Expectations are that the Moto G7 will feature a glass backplate, but we are not sure it would support wireless charging. A prominent dual-camera array and fingerprint sensor sit toward the top center of the phones.
Leaks suggest both the Moto G7 and G7 plus will be equipped with a Snapdragon 660 paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of memory.
We are yet to get official renders and specs sheet from Motorola, so not until we get that, it’s impossible to tell how accurate the leaks we’ve seen so far actually are.
