New patents reveal what to expect from Samsung’s upcoming foldable devices


Samsung has an event scheduled for tomorrow, where according to some reports, the company will give a glimpse of its foldable smartphone. The Samsung Developer Day conference will happen tomorrow in Seoul as the first edition of an event that will become annual.

According to the company’s mobile chief DJ Koh the future plans of Samsung will bring a much more exciting year than this one. The arrival of Samsung S10 Trio and the foldable Galaxy-F series will mark a new start for the company, as well as bring some new innovations to the table.

The executive also states that the Galaxy F series, or whatever it gets called, it’s here to stay. Samsung will keep releasing new foldable smartphones under this new series every year, and listed a couple of patents that reveal the possible design choices for these future models, and the design could pretty much be featured by the final form of Galaxy F next year.

The patent designs were found by the folks at Letsgodigital and show models with the in-folding design. It also boasts a display that can occupy the whole front or only half of it when the devices are closed. They could also apparently be split in two, or slope towards one of the phone’s edges.
