Seems that companies are in a race to bring more and more cameras to its smartphones. Now having three or four cameras in a smartphone isn’t unusual, but usually these crazy camera setups are always focused in the rear, seems that the camera’s centric company is back in action with a triple-selfie camera smartphone.
Yesterday, Xiaomi announced that will be taking over the hardware part of Meitu, meaning that we should start to see more products with the Meitu branding. However, the camera specific software will still be a responsibility of Meitu’s original team. Today a new upcoming model from the brand has paid a visit to TENAA. This particular model was identified as Meitu MP1801 and boasts three 12MP+20MP+8MP selfie cameras, TENAA didn’t specify the specific characteristics of these sensors.
Judging by the images below, Meitu will be bringing the mother of all notches, surpassing the iPhone gang and even the Pixel 3 XL.
On the rear the smartphone counts with a dual camera sensor with 12MP+8MP, that is placed between two distant LED flashes. As you might expect, the design is a bit unusual, which is something expected from a Meitu smartphone. Following the specs, there is a 6.21-inch OLED screen with FHD+ resolution.
