A few days after Realme started seeding a firmware update to the Realme 2 and Realme C1 handsets, the Oppo sub-brand decided to roll out a new OTA package containing the same update for the Realme 2 Pro.
This new update brings a ton of new improvements and optimizations for the company’s proprietary software – ColorOS. The bundle of updates brings a more conventional single-swipe notification dismiss, and the ability to show the headset icon in the status bar while you’re into a call.

Like of most updates of this kind, this update is being rolled out in a gradual form and Realme comes to endorse this fact. According to the Oppo’s subsidiary, it should take “a few days for all users to receive”. In the comments section, the company states that is aware of the drain battery issues suffered by some owners of the smartphone – According to them, it is now fixed through an update for the Touchpal keyboard app.
The new ColorOS update brings November Security Patch, which is excellent. Worth noting that the 5.2 version of the skin is yet to arrive for the smartphone. As you might expect, the update is based in Oreo, which basically scraps any chance of a close Android Pie update for the smartphone, at least in a near future.
