Oppo’s Sub-brand ‘Realme’ is having an amazing flight in the year 2018 as its September and October sales went through the roof with 600% growth over July and August period.
As per CyberMedia Research’s (CMR) report, Realme grabbed top spot in India during this period in terms of shipments and was followed by Xiaomi and Samsung with a bump of 10-12% and while that of Huawei and Honor managed to increase by 5%.

One noticeable fact that Prabhu Ram, Head-Industry Intelligence Group, CMR explained that the Oppo spin-off has set an example in the Indian market that the people still prioritize the brand that aims to dominate the market which tends to have different approaches to tackle into the current competition. He also added that it would not be wrong to predict Realme ranked in at least the top five brands in Q4 2018.

Gizchina News of the week

2018 is coming to an end and Realme is set to pull out the last trick under its sleeves by introducing the U1. The new U1 is highly expected to be full of surprises just like former Realme 2 Pro.

The other brands like Xiaomi, Vivo and Samsung also had a pretty decent period. Meanwhile, Google which only launches prime flagship phones failed to impress during the festive period and Apple’s iPhone XS and XS Max which have sky-high prices did not have a significant sales run either.
