Samsung’s foldable phone could cost as much as $2,500


Rumors, leaks, and speculations surrounding Samsung’s foldable phone are gradually pilling up. While we already got hints that the device might be dubbed Samsung Galaxy F, a new leak has just spilled the bean on what could be the phone’s market price, and it suggests the device could be as expensive as the 2018 edition of the LG Signature Edition smartphone.

Although every tech pundit would expect the Samsung Galaxy F with a foldable display tech to cost way above any current crop of premium smartphones, a new leak from an insider claims the device might cost above $2000. Specifically, the insider has it that the foldable phone could come with a price tag that ranges from £1,500 ($1,925) to £2,000 ($2,565).

The one thing that isn’t exactly clear from this leak is whether or not Samsung would be offering more than one variant of the device, that however, seems to be what the rice range says.

The insider further revealed that UK carrier EE might have the exclusive right to sell the device in the country on contract and SIM-free, with Samsung also expected to sell the handset online in the region contract-free. Report claims that

Samsung hasn’t come clear on when the device would be unveiled, but there are reports that the Galaxy F launch could come as early as March 2019, following the launch of the Galaxy S10 billed for February launch.
