Huawei’s sub-brand Honor had released Honor 8X on October 16th in India and now recent reports suggest that it will receive an Android 9 Pie update very shortly. The Honor 8X which comes pre-loaded with Android Oreo and features its custom Honor’s EMUI skin is likely to get Pie beta update by next week in China. However, it’s global update will come in December which includes India. Honor claims to have sold 6 million Honor 8X phones globally.
Speaking of the new update, it will bring Performance enhancement, few bug fixes and some other improvements. The reports suggest that the update will specifically bring optimization in gaming, supports regarding few Indian languages and Google’s Digital Wellbeing feature. Moreover, it will come along with a designed local calendar and deep integration related to Paytm. Additionally, this beta update will allow users to send a feedback which will help the company itself to work on some issues related to bugs.
Honor’s 8X MAX is also expected to get an update soon, however, there is no announcement from the company’s side but it is likely expected to get an update once Honor 8X update is rolled out.

The phone also sports a dual rear camera of 20MP + 2MP and at front it is furnished with a 16MP selfie shooter. The Honor 8X 4GB + 64GB variant is priced at Rs 14,999 and 6GB + 64GB variant costs Rs 16,999 and lastly the 6GB + 128GB is priced at Rs 18,999. The phone belongs to the segment of mid-range devices which is heavily competent with other giants like Xiaomi, Redmi, Vivo and Nokia.
