The first rumors about the next big thing when it comes to smartphones display have started to pop-out everywhere. First, we learned that Samsung is preparing its brand new Infinity-O display, marked by a bezel-less display with the presence of a small hole for the front camera, for a release earlier on the next year, with the Galaxy A8s. Today, reports indicated that Huawei will also come with its own response to the Infinity-O display in the form of Huawei Nova 4.
Now, just a few hours after a poster leaked teasing the smartphone main characteristic, the handset was spotted in the wild. Apparently, with Nova 4 Huawei will utilize the same formula adopted by Samsung. In other words, the smartphone will ship with a large cut-out in the top-left corner of the display in order to house the front-facing snapper. This design language will be accompanied by thin bezels above and in either side of the display, with a slightly thicker chin. Since this is an unreleased smartphone, there is a large case covering it in order to hide the key elements of the design, making it impossible to know the real size of the bezels.

Despite the uncertainties, the smartphone will come with a special feature that is day after day disappearing from premium smartphones – The 3.5mm headphone jack. This will probably be combined with Huawei’s Kirin 980 chipset, 6GB of RAM, and EMUI 9 straight out the box. The date for the release of Nova 4 hasn’t been confirmed, but a recent teaser confirmed the release for earlier in January. If Huawei is really intending to punch Samsung bringing the new design element, the CES 2018 would be a good occasion to release the new premium smartphone.
