lenovo appears set to release a triple–camera touting smartphone following the launch of the slider Lenovo Z5 Pro a while back. Indications first emerged a few days back when a Lenovo phone with the model L78071 surfaced on China’s TENAA. While the listing on TENAA revealed images of the device alongside some of its technical specs, the name of the device as of then remained elusive.
Now, the latest revelation from Lenovo’s Chang Cheng may have just revealed the possible marketing name of the device. Although he gave no further details nor release date of the device, Lenovo’s VP Chang Cheng while responding to questions from fans on Weibo confirmed that its company will indeed release a triple camera Smartphone, and will be named Lenovo Z5S.

Until very recently, the dual camera setup was the in-thing, with the triple camera setup limited to the Huawei P20 Pro. Now, however, it appears the coming year will see an influx of smartphones with not only triple camera setups but with up to 16 rear camera arrangements.
While Samsung mobile already released its Quad camera smartphone, HMD Global and LG mobile are both said to be working on a smartphone with Penta-camera arrangements and a 16 camera setup respectively. Although LG’s vision of a smartphone with 16 camera lenses has only just been patented, HMD Global is said to be very much at the advanced stage of releasing its own Penta-camera device.
