It is now pretty clear that Lenovo is preparing a triple rear Camera Smartphone similar to the P20 Pro from Huawei and Samsung’s Galaxy A7 2018. China’s TENAA has already given Lenovo the go-ahead to push the device into the Chinse market, and surprisingly, Lenovo’s VP earlier today dropped a hint on Weibo on what the triple camera touting device might be called. In what appears to be the first official confirmation of a triple rear camera phone from the company, the company’s Mobile Business Group Vice President Chang Chen confirmed the name of the triple camera touting phone to be the Lenovo Z5s.
Gizchina News of the week
While there is still no official comment on when the device might hit the market, indications have emerged that suggest the Lenovo Z5s might be launched in the coming weeks, as the same Lenovo L78071 has now been listed on China’s 3C and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) websites.
Both listings don’t tell us anything significant, other than the Lenovo L78071 model, however, we do not expect to see anything different from what has been revealed by TENAA. As revealed by TENAA, the Lenovo Z5s is tipped to come with a 3210mAh battery, a 6.3-inch display with a resolution of FullHD+, and a dimension of 156.7×74.5×7.8(mm).
Set to arrive probably as a mild upgrade to the slider Lenovo Z5 Pro, the upcoming Lenovo Z5s is tipped to be the first smartphone to use the upcoming Snapdragon 8150 which is likely to be released on December 4. It is believed that the Z5s launch will closely follow the launch of the SD 8150.
You know you’ve made it in the electronics world when competitors start copying you. The back of this Lenovo looks just like the Huawei P20 Pro. I guess congratulations are in order for Huawei! Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, as they say…
