After a period of testing, HMD Global released this morning the Android 9.0 update officially for the Nokia 7.1. The good news was posted on Twitter by Juho Sarvikas, the company’s product head.

HMD Global continues to live up to its promise to bring the new software to all of its latest handsets, with Nokia 7.1 also gaining a host of native Android Pie features such as gesture navigation and adaptive battery.
However, as we all know, device owners will need a little patience. This is because the update arrives in batches and may be slow to appear in some countries.
Sarvikas’s tweet was accompanied by a short video, though it only gave us a single image of the new software to look at. Sarvikas followed up on this to note that, as always, the rollout would occur in stages, some markets may take longer to receive it than others.
Recall that the Nokia 7.1 has a 5.84-inch display with Full HD+ resolution and a notch, supported by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC, 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage expandable via microSD. To complete the technical data sheet of the mid-range we find a double rear camera (12 + 5 Megapixel), an 8 megapixel front camera and a 3060mAh battery.
