Apple declines cut in production and says: iPhone XR is the best-selling iPhone since its release

Despite the higher price, iPhone XR still is the cheaper iPhone of the 2018 bandwagon of Apple devices. The Cupertino-based company revealed today that the XR model has become the best-selling iPhone since its release. Confirming previous estimates that indicated that consumers would prefer the cheaper iPhone in this year rather than the more expensive units.

The statement was given to CNET, by Apple’s Vice President of Product Marketing, Greg Joswiak. The company’s VP announced that the iPhone XR is current the best-selling iPhone and has been the most popular model “every day since its announcement.” This ultimately leads us to think that Apple 2019 iPhones are selling according to the company’s expectations – If you recall, many analysts pointed that the iPhone XR would become the best-selling variant of the smartphone even before its official release.

Gizchina News of the week

Recently, a lot of news has surfaced indicating that Apple iPhone sales were lower than expected – thus ultimately leading the company to cut production orders twice, making suppliers lose a lot of money, and many employees lose their jobs. According to Joswiak, this isn’t a truth. But worth noting that the executive declined to comment about the report or iPhone demand in general.

The executive ended his statement endorsing Apple’s commitment to the Product Red initiative. World AIDS day is currently set to take place in the next Saturday, December 1, and the Cupertino-based company will donate $1 for every Apple Pay purchase made between December 1 and December 7 at the Apple Store. Moreover, 125 Apple Stores will be turning their logos red to honor the date.

Of we course, it’s not a surprise to see an Apple executive denying the reports about iPhone XR, XS, and XS Max lower than expected demand. For now, we should keep our attention to what seems consistent, and the reports about Apple iPhone suppliers losing orders and money is too consistent to be ignored.
