Realme U1 was unveiled today in an event held in India, along with the smartphone the Oppo’s sub-brand released its first headphones. The Realme Buds are wired an end with 3.5mm jack, making them compatible with many smartphones that offer the 3.5mm connector, or through a 3.5mm to USB-C adapter for smartphones that don’t offer the analog port.
The Realme Buds will offer a great experience for those who love heavy basses. The 11mm drivers promise 160% more bass compared to average headphones with 10mm drivers. The Buds design mixes grey and yellow colors to match the “proud to be young” slogan.

These earphones are cheap as $7 but feature a braided kevlar sleeve that makes the cable more durable. It also boasts magnets to allow them to be snapped together around the user’s neck to avoid accidental drops.
The Realme Buds come with a three-button remote control that will allow you to control your playlist playbacks, audio, and in-call volume. But surprisingly, it can also summon Google Assistant. If you’re into earphones, here are some details about it: 11mm drivers, 106dB SPL, range 20-20,000Hz, copper-clad aluminum coils, and 32Ω impedance.
At such a low price, that’s an impressive package. But since the Realme Bds have just been released, we still need to wait a bit longer to see if the real-life usage will be equivalent to what the company is promising.
