Asus ZenFone Max M2 and ZenFone Max Pro M2 leaks in the wild with specs, renders and more

We already know that Asus is preparing its newest range of Zenfone Max to compete in the mid-range segment, but we expected to see more news of this smartphone only during CES 2019 or MWC 2019.

Apparently, the company will not take so much time to reveal it. Today, the popular the leakster, Roland Quandt came with the entire list of specs, high-quality renders for not a single device, but two handsets in the form of Asus Zenfone Max M2 and Zenfone Max Pro M2.

The leak reveals a wide range of specifications and the design of the smartphones in all glory. Worth noting that both smartphones look nearly the same, with the main difference being inside of the smartphone. Curiously, the Zenfone Max M2 seems to sport a narrower notch and thicker chin, when compared to its Pro counterpart.

The standard Zenfone Max M2 comes with a blanded (boring) metal backplate, while the Pro variant adopts a shinier and beautiful colored finish. The powerful Pro variant comes with the Snapdragon 660 inside, while the standard Max M2 is equipped with the Snapdragon 636.

Gizchina News of the week

Both variants will be released with 4GB of RAM and probably 64GB of internal of storage with support for microSD cards. Both handsets will feature 2340×1080 pixels of resolution in a tall 6-inch 19:5:9 display.

Unfortunately, the leak doesn’t reveal the battery capacity of the Max M2, while the ZenFone Max Pro M2 is expected to shine once again with a massive 5,000mAh battery. We doubt that Asus will mess with the most appealing factor of the series, but until a confirmation, everything is speculation.

The ZenFone Max Pro M2 is expected to feature dual rear-facing cameras with 12MP and 5MP sensors. The same cameras should be also equipped in the standard non-Pro variant of the midrange smartphone.

Pricing in availability is still anyone’s guess at the moment. Considering the number of leaks that are surfacing about this particular smartphone series, the launch must be imminent.
