A South Korean supplier sold 16-panel processing equipment to Chinese companies and assisted China in acquiring the technology, while eight other such units are on sale. According to sources, two companies actually acquired the technology, while the two others are trying to acquire the technology. It is expected that there will be a strong market demand for this curved screen in the future.

There is currently an ongoing legal battle due to this leak. The company’s prosecutor has filed a lawsuit against the president of Samsung, the supplier of Toptec, and other executives, over the illegal sales of this technology to Chinese companies. Those suspected of acquiring this technology include BOE and three other Chinese firms.
