Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition gets Android 9 Pie update


Yesterday, Xiaomi, released a new update for the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 which improves its slider settings as well as other upgrades. Now, the Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition with a transparent rear is getting the stable MIUI 10 update based on Android 9 Pie depth customization. This update is designated MIUI V10.1.2.0.PEHCFNI and it weighs about 2.1GB. This update is currently rolling out to in China.

The update log shows that the MIUI 10 stable version brings 960 fps slow motion and super night scene mode. The 960 fps slow motion feature can shoot slow-motion video and you can even see the beauty of the blink of an eye. The principle of super night scene is that when the shutter is pressed, the camera will take 8 photos with different exposure schemes. The best aspects of these images will be combined to create a perfect image.

It is also worth mentioning that the Android 9 Pie system is designed to work perfectly with the notch. It optimizes the screen content display and enables the system or application to make full use of the entire screen. Android 9 Pie further optimizes the efficiency of the system, such as faster installation time, smoother system operation, improved battery life, and limited idle applications.
