Meizu 16th and Meizu M6T Now Official in India


Meizu’s latest flagship phones finally comes to India officially, we’re of course talking about the Meizu 16th. Along with the top specc’ed phone, also the much more affordable Meizu M6T was brought into the Indian market.

Main specs for the Meizu 16th include a Snapdragon 845 CPU, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of native storage and an on-screen fingerprint reader. The display is a 6.0-inch Super AMOLED display with a Full-HD+ resolution, meanwhile on the back we find a 12MP + 20MP dual setup, at the front there’s instead a single 20MP sensor.

The Meizu 16th will be available in Midnight Black and Moonlight White at the price of INR39,999 ($565/€500), which is probably not as budget-friendly as you’d have expected.

Meizu M6T

What’s really affordable is the Meizu M6T, the smartphone that  packs a MediaTek MT6750 CPU, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The screen on this one is 5.7-inch with HD+ resolution, with the selfie snapper above it of 8MP resolution, meanwhile on the back we find a 13MP + 2MP camera combo and a fast fingerprint scanner below it.

The Meizu M6T will go on sale in Black, Gold and Red, at the price of INR7,999 ($110/€100).

    Why would anyone buy this over the half priced Pocophone F1?!?

      If I have to be devil’s advocate.. The Meizu 16th looks better, Super AMOLED display and under display fingerprint scanner.
      This is the same OnePlus 6T vs Pocophone F1 argument, but I agree the Meizu 16th should have costed less, 400€ top to compete with Xiaomi phones.

      I wish they had at least added expandable storage to compete with the F1. I just bought the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model of the latter for US $288 (through a friend) with all discounts thrown in! It’s an unbelievable bargain for whatever Poco’s model is worth.
