Xiaomi now keen on rural regions of India to expand its smart TV and smartphone business

Xiaomi has been progressing constantly in the mobile industry and has ruled Indian market when it comes to sales of budget segment of smartphones. The company aims to increase this growth in offline market along with focusing highly on smart TV and phones in the near future.

At present day, Xiaomi India’s Chief Operating Officer Muralikrishnan B at PTI said that the company understands the importance for offline marketing and this is why they have introduced Mi store and currently has opened 500 stores throughout the country targeting Tier-3 markets which includes rural areas. He further added that the company is planning to expand its growth not only in smartphones but also in Smart TVs Apparently Xiaomi has now sold more than one million smart TV’s and ranks top in the smart TV market in India. That is why the offline expansion and plus smart TV addition will be a huge step for the company in India.

To recall, Xiaomi has recently launched Mi LED Smart TV Pro series and few other products in Chandigarh. Speaking on Chandigarh market Muralikrishnan B says that it has been more than a year since Xiaomi has established in this place and here we have a market share of 39.6% which makes Xiaomi number 1 in smartphone brand in Chandigarh.

Furthermore, Muralikrishnan B says that the price point of any product in the Indian market needs to be highlighted. The Redmi 6 Series has a price point cover of Rs 6,000-Rs 8,000 and that of Redmi Note series and Y series it has to be around Rs 10,000-12,000. This is the reason why Xiaomi is ruling the majority of markets all over the country.
