The Nokia 8.1 officially launched yesterday for international buyers is basically the Nokia X7 previously sold in China. Now, the smartphone is on presale over in Taiwan, with the new moniker and a much more affordable price compared to what we’ll find in other markets.
The Nokia 8.1 can indeed be pre-ordered for NT$ 9,990, which is around €285, while the same phone will be sold in Europe for 400€. In addition to the more affordable price tag, the smartphone will also be shipped with a free case, an option not available anywhere else.

The new phone is sold in the Steel color variant and will ship on December 12th. Meanwhile in United Arab Emirates pre-orders will start later today at the price of AED 1,500 ($410).
Main features of the Nokia 8.1 include a 6.18-inch PureDisplay IPS LCD with 1080p+ resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC, 6GB of RAM, a 3500mAh battery, a ZEISS branded rear camera combo of 12MP+13MP resolution with Optical Image Stabilization and a 20MP selfie snapper.
