HTC's November revenue increases by 12% QoQ but still down by 70% YoY

In recent times, Chinese manufacturer, HTC has been going through a tough time in the market. The Chinese market is highly competitive in all aspects and some manufacturers are even pulling out due to its inability to compete. HTC officially announced its unaudited November 2018 revenue report and it can be said that there is not much surprise.
Throughout November, HTC's revenue totaled $47.67 million – an increase of 12.75% from $42.63 million in October, which is a positive sign. Despite this increase in its financial figure Quater-on-Quater (QoQ), its performance is still down by 73.98% Year-on-Year (YoY). This is also the third consecutive month of HTC's monthly revenue decline of more than 70%.
The data also shows that since the beginning of this year to November 30, HTC recorded a total revenue of only $725.5 million, a decrease of 61.47% from last year. In the same period last year, this figure was $1.88 billion. According to reports from a Taiwanese media "Electronic Times", HTC ranked 14th in the country. Taiwan is an emerging market and if HTC can rank 14th in Taiwan then the company has a long way to go in the global market.
