In one of our recent polls, the punch-hole display camera cutout was one of the features that were tipped to be a trend in 2019 smartphones. As of now, Samsung and Huawei are confirmed to use this feature and now, Xiaomi has joined the growing list of OEMs to adopt this pattern A few days ago, we reported that Xiaomi will launch a smartphone with 48MP shooter next year but at the time, we could not confirm whether the sensor will be alone. Now, more exposure of this smartphone has come to light.

In addition to the available information, current report suggests that this phone will use a triple rear camera setup which includes the  48MP sensor and a super wide-angle lens thus this will be a high-end imaging smartphone from the company. There are also suggestions that this smartphone will be released in the Redmi series but this is only because the official Redmi Social handle shared the initial announcement by Xiaomi president.

According to the latest news from the industry chain, Xiaomi’s new smartphone will come with the punch-hole display camera design but it will use an LCD screen supplied by BOE. Other configurations if this device is not known for now but looking at what we have already, this should not be a very cheap device. We should expect something above 2000 Yuan ($289).
