Just yesterday, Chinese phone maker Huawei, unveiled its upcoming flagship smartphone – the Huawei Honor V20, which is expected to pack the latest Kirin 980 processor along with a 48MP rear shooter.
The sensor in question is a Sony IMX586 CMOS with 0.8µm big pixels with support for Quad Bayer technology. This tech allows the sensor to stack four pixels together and create a virtual bigger pixel which will of course perform better in low light scenarios, reducing noise to the minimum while keeping details sharp.
