A new model of Sammy’s upcoming Galaxy S10 has been uncovered. A Samsung phone with the model number SM-G977 has been revealed and it is said to be in development. Recall, that we reported way back three Galaxy S10 model number: – SM-G970, SM-G973, and SM-G975 which we have so far linked to the Galaxy S10 Lite, S10, and S10+ respectively.
Previous reports suggest that Samsung could also release a fourth and a limited edition 5G variant of the Galaxy S10. And given that we already know the Galaxy S10 Lite, S10, and S10+ by their respective model number, it is quite possible the newly revealed model number is that of the Galaxy S10 5G variant.
Gizchina News of the week
The US and Korea are expected to be the first countries in the world to roll out 5G connectivity to users next year, and that explains why the Galaxy S10 5G variant might be exclusive to these two markets. GalaxyXclub reports that the limited edition device with the codename the SM-G977U will be heading for North America while the SM-G977N will go to Korea.
While it has been rumored that the South Korean tech giant will be offering a 5G variant of its 10th-anniversary device with premium specs, there is obviously no definite evidence that proves it will come with the SM-G977 model number.
Specs, design as well as expected market prices have not been confirmed officially, but more information about these will be unearthed in the days leading to February 20 when the S10 models are tipped to be unveiled.
