Google Assistant will now guess if your flight will be delayed

The holiday season is pretty much marked by the increase of people flying all around the world to meet up with their family or simply to enjoy the days in different and new places. Google is pretty aware of this and announced today a new feature for its smart assistant. Now, Google Assistant will be able to predict if your flight is going to be delayed. All you have to do is ask “Hey Google, is my flight on time?”

The new feature will be achieved through the use of historical flight data and machine learning to help its forecast whether a flight will take on time.  If Google Assistant feels that the accuracy of its forecast is 85% or higher, the Assistant will determine a possibility of delay and will give you a reason to justify its guess. According to Google, Assistant will be able to inform in the coming weeks if a flight is expected to be taking off later than predetermined.

Google also took the opportunity to tease some important features that travelers can use in the Google Maps application. Through the “Explore” tab users can get some interesting places to visit, restaurants to eat and more. Apparently, the giant of searches is putting some effort in this segment, and of course, it’s always good to see Google Assistant becoming more smart and useful for various types of users.
