Honor Magic 2 gets a new update with the Honor FlyPods

Today, Honor released a new update for its latest flagship smartphone, Honor Magic 2. This update brings the “bone-sound” capability to the Magic 2. With the aid of the newly released Honor FlyPod Pro, users can complete WeChat and Alipay payments by voice. The FlyPod Pro wireless headset was released with the Honor Magic 2 and it has a 999 yuan ($145) price tag. It can accurately capture the voice information when the wearer speaks and with its artificial intelligence recognition technology, it automatically identifies the owner and unlock the phone.

Like the fingerprint, each person’s bone sound pattern is different, and the bone sound pattern is also less reproducible and safe. The FlyPod Pro relies on bone conduction authentication (skeletal vibration characteristics), voiceprint authentication (2MIC + bone conduction voiceprint enhancement), and AI recognition technology to automatically identify the owner and execute the corresponding instructions.

The Honor FlyPods is similar to Apple’s AirPod, with a semi-in-ear design. The single ear weighs only 4g and its unique swan neck handle makes it more comfortable. The earphone adopts a 13mm moving coil acoustic design and a binaural stereo design. Music and calls are controlled by a double-click. It also supports Bluetooth 5.0, dual MIC, noise reduction, left and right ear switch amongst others. In terms of battery life, the FlyPod Pro comes with a 25 mAh battery capacity and it can deliver up to 3 hours music time on a single charge. The 420 mAh charging storage box is standard, which enables music playback and call time to rise to 16-20 hours.
