I’m part of the last school, and have never understood the reflexes of the first one. That’s why I’m very happy to see that Chrome on Android will help guys like me very soon.
Chrome on Android will soon have an important shortcut
Indeed, a small update that may seem innocuous was spotted by XDA Developers on the mobile version of Google’s web browser. We can see that Chrome Canary, the very unstable test version of Chrome, now includes a shortcut to close all tabs in one go.

Similar to the shortcut often available in the multitasking mode of Android, it will allow anyone to blindly close the tabs open on their application.
The screenshot above is from Chrome Canary for Android with the horizontal tab switcher flag enabled. As you can see, in the bottom left corner there is a new button to close all open tabs. This is a simple feature, but it’s surprisingly easy to end up with dozens of open browser tabs on your phone. The app will put tabs to sleep when they haven’t been opened in a while, so you shouldn’t have to worry about data/battery usage. But if you just want to start from scratch, this is a handy shortcut.
