At the doors of Christmas, OnePlus has updated the OxygenOS Open Beta program for the OnePlus 6 with the December security patches. The last release dates back to the beginning of the month, when the company updated the “experimental” channel of its first 2018 flagship with a handful of feature.

OnePlus reminds you that as this is a beta firmware, instability may occur while using the device.
Gizchina News of the week
The update is being distributed, so in some cases it will be necessary to wait a few hours before receiving the notification on OnePlus 6. In case you want to speed up the time, we suggest to force the search by exploiting a VPN: users of the forum recommend trying with German or Canadian VPNs.
It is worth to mention that some Android developers seem to not agree with the word “exclusivity” and decided to bring the MIUI (Xiaomi’s exclusive software that runs on its smartphones) software to the OnePlus 6 and 6T.
The MIUI 10 based on Android 9.0 Pie has been successfully ported to both the OnePlus recent flagships. Worth noting that all this is unofficial, and considering the difference among both Android skin frameworks, bugs are more than expected, by those courageous enough to flash the port.
