The smartphones are becoming more and more popular. The demand for them is continuously growing. But people have begun changing their smartphones less frequently. Thus, if a smartphone brand has a bigger growth rate, it may indicate a strong background. A few days ago, an interesting data came our way from Sino, which showed the smartphone brand ranking according to the sales in November.
According to the report, VIVO ranks first as it has sold 6.26 million units. For many users, this may sound odd. But the truth is, in the second half of the year, VIVO has launched X23 top-end model and the thousand-yuan Z3 that are considered to be very competitive devices in their categories.
Gizchina News of the week
Apart from VIVO, two other Chinese brands are in the top three. They include Huawei and Honor. These brands have shipped 6 million and 5.84 million units in November, respectively. Though OPPO has shipped more than Honor, it has a decline, while the mentioned two brands have had 35% and 6% growth rate. Surprisingly Xiaomi ranks only sixth with 4.1 million shipped units. But its performance can’t be considered satisfactory as its growth rate is -12%.
Well, some analysts pointed out that the main reason for the growth of VIVO, Huawei and Honor is that they have brought sufficient product innovation. Moreover, due to them, regular users could get their hands on mid-range smartphones with affordable prices that also sport a full-screen and support fast charging.
However, a new cycle is about to start, and the things will change in 2019 for sure. Many smartphone makers have already gained momentum and it would be very difficult for their competitors to stop them. As for the veterans, Samsung is very serious, and its punch-hole screen smartphones are going to change the world once again.
