Wangzhe Rongyao is a popular game in China, it’s more known by its unofficial English translation to “King of Glory.” The game is a popular battle arena multiplayer developed and published by Tencent Games. The game has become so popular in the country, that it’s often used to test the gaming performance of a smartphone. For that reason, smartphone makers are cooperating with Tencent Games to develop “King of Glory” optimized smartphones. Today, OPPO confirmed that it’ll be joining the bandwagon with a custom “King of Glory” edition of the OPPO R17 Pro, scheduled to be launched on January 7.

The company used Weibo to share a video that tells us that after the launch of the new Ultra HD version of “King of Glory”, OPPO is preparing a surprised called R17 Pro King of Glory custom edition which will come on January 7. However, apart from releasing the teaser, the company didn’t specify if this new variant will include an improved hardware insider.
The announcement of this King Of Glory edition comes just after the release of R17 and R17 Pro New Year Edition. As far is concerned, these new handsets feature the same hardware of the standard variants of these devices. Since the King of Glory will be a gaming special edition, the company may introduce a new software optimization for games or UI, and probably a set of items for the game.
