As usual, Samsung will register its presence at the function and reports have it that the Korean tech giant will be showcasing a variety of products including a range of smart TVs with Google’s assistant, its first 4K resolution OLED displays for notebooks, and now, a report that just emanated from Korea says the firm will at the event showcase a new technology invention that could end up being part of the upcoming Galaxy S10 range of Galaxy phones.
We are talking about Samsung’s Sound on Display OLED panels usable for both smartphones and TVs. Samsung first demoed the product earlier this year at a tech function in China and is all now set to go into commercialization in the coming year. Expected to be demonstrated at the upcoming CES 2019, the sound-emitting OLED display tech can be useful for both Samsung’s TV and smartphones lineup.

What is the sound-emitting OLED display tech you may ask? Well, its a new piece of tech innovation that turns the entire screen into a sound–emitting structure thereby eliminating the need for large speaker grilles up front or down near the power port. This new tech when it finds its way to the Galaxy line of smartphones will in addition to the Infinity O display helps free up more space for the real display.
The sound-emitting OLED display could be another major trend in the smartphone industry in the coming year, as even Sammy”s rival LG is also reportedly working on a similar tech that could debut alongside one of its upcoming G series of LG phones, notebooks, and monitors.
As for Samsung, we are not sure when this tech will find its way into a smartphone, however, reports say it could debut alongside the Galaxy S10 tipped for release later in the first Quarter of 2019.
