Yesterday, a smartphone conference was held at the Beijing University of Technology Gymnasium. At the conference, Honor officially released its new flagship, the Honor V20. After the meeting, Zhao Ming, the president of Honor granted a media interview where he revealed many of the dynamics of Honor’s foreign market this year.
Technically, Honor went global in 2015 but Zhao Ming said that the company achieved comprehensive globalization this year. He said that Honor had penetrated about 70 countries since 2015 but it did not have the manpower to support it so it was lin=mited to a few countries in 2016. Last year, it expanded its tentacles and this year, it got a firm grip of many countries.

As for Honor’s performance in the foreign markets this year, Zhao Ming said that it has not yet taken the actual statistics but he suggested that its annual sales growth rate must exceed 150%. In terms of its foreign market share, it should be between 20% – 30% which is quite significant. Zhao Ming used the Russian market an example: “The Russian market last year was about 9 points, and now it is 22-24 points .” Earlier at the Honor 8X conference, Zhao Ming said that according to GfK data, Honor’s market share in Russia for August 2018 was 18.9%, ranking second in the market. In other words, within four months, the market share of Honor in Russia has increased by about 3-5%, and the growth rate is rapid.
