According to the latest report from Korean media, both Samsung and LG will showcase their 5G mobile phones during MWC 2019 which starts on February 25. This will not be a prototype or concept device but the real deal.

However, LG’s first 5G mobile phone does not belong to the existing G series or V series but is a brand new sub-brand. The specific name is not yet known, and it may correspond to the rumored folding screen products. As for the LG G8, it will be launched at the end of March next year if all goes according to plan, but it only supports 4G networks. In addition, in January next year, LG will launch a new smartphone dubbed LG Q9, which is a product equipped with Snapdragon 660 chip. Back to the G8 itself, the use of SD855 is not confirmed. Although LG has not been active in the mainland market, its business in the Hong Kong market in China is still relatively healthy.
