Sony Xperia XZ4 display will be longer than usual – new screen protector reconfirms

A few years ago, the display ratio of smartphones was pegged at 16:9. Sometime last year, we saw the preponderance of 18:9 smartphones and now we even have some 19:9, 18.5:9 and other display ratios. Earlier this month, there were reports that the Sony Xperia XZ4 will come with a 21:9 display ratio. So far, renders of the smartphone and screen protector seem to corroborate with the “tall” display. Now, a new screen protector renders lend some credence to the story.

These new renders show that the device will come with a pretty tall notchless display. There is also a small hole at the far left of the top bezel which will probably be for a notification light. Als on the top bezel are the cutouts for the earpiece, camera, and proximity sensor. The bezels on both sides are quite thin and the chin is just a little thicker.

On the rear, there is a triple camera setup as shown by the case render. The cameras are aligned vertically and the LED flash is on top of the cameras. The right side hosts the volume button, fingerprint sensor, camera shutter, and power key while the bottom contains the speaker, USB Type-C port and mic. The 3.5 mm audio jack was expunged from this one.
