Upcoming big wave of Elephone phones is partially still shrouded in quite some mystery, because from all of the announced and “launched” pieces we have realistically seen only very few actually released. And today the chinese makers muddled the waters even more with a quick video sneak peek at some unknown model, which can’t be fully matched to anything listed on their website…
The phone in the video is showing the full display design without any notch and a pop-up camera module with dual selfie camera sensors. Rotating the phone we can see the triple rear cameras and some Elephone logo, but sadly no clear depiction of the phone model. There are only three phones listen at the Elephone website with the pop-up cameras and the Elephone U2 Pro and Elephone PX have very different designs so the logical choice would be the the Elephone U2 as the main culprit in the video. But things are not so easy.
Gizchina News of the week
The phone captured in the video has slightly different LED flash positionings and more importantly side-mounted fingeprint scanner, which goes against the previously shown rear one with Elephone U2. Also the system settings of the phone are showing 4 GB RAM and the U2 is expected to arrive with 6 GB RAM. So either the Elephone U2 is getting some major design and facelift changes, or this is something completely different not yet even listed on their website. Which would be quite a weird move considering the big delay they are having with all of the listed ones. One mystery to be solved.
