The VIVO NEX dual screen version that was announced in China a while back may soon land in the Indian market. In readiness for that, VIVO Indian has announced a price slash for the VIVO NEX S which was actually marketed in India as the VIVO NEX.
Recall that VIVO announced the VIVO NEX in India at INR47,990, but actually sold for INR44,990 ($650/€560), now, just in time for the New Year, VIVO has once again slashed the VIVO NEX asking price from INR44,990 ($650/€560) to INR39,990, which is an INR5,251/$75/€50 cut.
Gizchina News of the week
The NEX was one of 2018 most outstanding phone. in its quest to producing a phone with little or no bezels, the VIVO NEX uses complex moving parts to hide and reveal components like selfie cameras and face scanners that would otherwise have to be housed in a notch in an “all-screen” phone.
Aside from the elevating selfie camera, there is a lot the VIVO NEX has to offer. It uses 2018 flagship Snapdragon 845 processor coupled with 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and a huge 4,000mAh battery. The device comes fitted with a dual-camera setup with a 12-megapixel f/1.8 primary module, a headphone jack, a USB-C port, and a huge 6.6-inch 2316 x 1080p OLED screen.
VIVO in the later part of 2018 has released a sequel to the VIVO NEX that is dubbed the Vivo NEX dual display version. The VIVO NEX Dual display version as its name suggest still is a virtually all screen device, but has ditched the elevating camera for Dual displays. The device is now available for sale in China and could be arriving India, which probably is the reason for the current slash in the price of the first generation VIVO NEX.
