Google’s Fuchsia OS has been on and off the radar in 2018 a couple of times and it’s quite far from being a full-blown operating system. However, being a product of Google, there’s always been an expectation that it would run Android apps in some form or manner. Now, this was not confirmed in any manner, but a new change in Fuchsia repositories found last month has spilled the beans today.

Two repositories were discovered in December that were linked to Android Open Source Project (AOSP) manifest. A readme file was found on one of them today making it all but clear that Android apps will be able to run on Fuchsia OS. Take a look at the readme file’s image below.
There’s still a lot which is uncertain about Fuchsia OS but we expect Google to clear the air sometime this year. Last time we heard about the operating system was when Huawei was testing it on one of its devices.
